KHET App Reviews

Very good!

The app is a lot of fun, but i think for people who dont know the game its hard to understand, i think. But when you know the rules, its worth 2,99€.

Awesome

This is awesome! An update with (possibly optional) laser splitters would be great!

Bugs and no iphone 5 screen support

This is a very cool game. I have the board version, which is awesome. This allows me to practice anywhere. Which is usually on the toilet. There a some bugs in the game. -Pieces disappear randomly -some pieces wont move -the multiplayer does not seem to work most of the time Where is the iPhone 5 widescreen support?

Buy the board game

This app is terrible for the price. The AI is way to intellegiant even in easy mode. Theres glitches where I cant even make a move. It wont let me slide my pawn. All i can do is rotate... Terrible!

Do not waste your money

Bought it yesterday, and does NOT work. Save your money!!!!!

*****Wow! My Favorite Game in my favorite phone*****

I have been looking for the iPhone version of my favorite board game-KHET ! Its really an amazing game. iPhone version is simply superb. I like all the features of this app. Really worth 3.99$. Attractive graphics, easy to use interface, beautiful lasers. Once again thank you for making iOS version of Khet game.

KHET App Made my iPhone worthy!

Tonight was my first time playing and I have been on this game now off and on for about 3 hrs! I cant stop playing this game. Its sooooo fun and challenging!! Play With Friends mode is highly addictive. Real time pass. But I could easily beat the iPhone!!! Great App! ;)

Quality

This has to be hands down the best app I have played on the iPhone. Multiplayer is key as well as solid graphics.. I would advise every serious iPhone gamer to download right now.. 5 stars for sure

Excellent game for playing with friends and extremely addictive.......

Like playing with online friends mode very much. I already know KHET board game and this app has a lot more to offer! You are really going to love this app. Its extremely addictive in all context. :)

May I know who is the current KHET champion?!! I want to beat him!!! Highly addictive game! Is there any online championship on KHET? Love to play KHET sooooooooooooooooo much.................... Now I need to play it again , otherwise I would have written a lot more!!!! time to go.....

5 stars straight from heart!!! Now Playing with KHET AI Engine......

I have been waiting for this update with KHET AI and the update is simply superb! I am playing for almost 1 hour and yet I couldnt get an opponents piece!!! But, I will defeat the engine for sure , even it takes days!!! Well made App with almost all features I wanted.

iChallenging... iAddictive... and iAwesome!!!

Purely Addictive Fun! Hours of entertainment guaranteed! Worth the money. Honestly, there is no other game much fun and challenging than Khet.

Great game, but not as described.

Update! So Im updating my review. Thankfully they added or fixed the AI system and it is awesome. Great challenge. My inline complaint is if you leave a game vs the computer, getting back to makes no logical sense. Hope they add continue last game or AI game or some options, but still well worth the money!

Great Game Hampered by Implementation Issues

I really enjoy Khet - the game itself is a great chess-like game with a modern spin (freakin lazers!). Learning the rules and move-set is easy, but coming up with a good strategy takes time. Do you go offensive? Do you play low key and react to your opponent. Every game could be different, depending on you and your opponents play style. Ill break things down - like and dislike: Like: - As I said earlier, the game itself is fun. And its convenient having a portable version on your iPhone. - Three different table layouts with four different levels of AI; plenty here to learn strategy - Asych online multiplayer; essential for a game like this . That being said, there are some issues with this implementation: - AI only seems to work when you have an internet connection. When I try to play offline, it says "Unable to get next move. Please Try Again." Why does this need to pull AI routines from a remote server? You should be able to play this game against the AI without an internet connection. - Graphic design is very pedestrian. The game doesnt need fancy 3D models or anything, but the 2D artwork is very plain and uninspired looking. Merely functional looking. - Non-Universal build. I dislike this for a couple reasons. The biggest of which is that it fragments the potential multiplayer base (since iPhone and iPad are separate builds). Second, this is an expensive game, relative to the competition on the App Store

Poorly made

Was unable to get the multiplayer functionality working. It seems unusually difficult to invite Game Center friends to play, and the one match I did get started immediately failed with a "Lost Connection to Opponent" error. I hope both players are not expected to be online simultaneously and play through a whole game in one sitting? The game itself is fun although feedback cues on what the AI opponent did during its move could be enhanced. I find myself using the replay last move button constantly out of necessity. Additionally I have just lost all progress in a game due to accidentally tapping the in-game home button and finding that even selecting yes to resume previous game just starts a new one. This has been a disappointing purchase.

great chess game

innovative

Lazy dev

What isnt mentioned, which is a serious issue, is that you cant play the game unless you have Internet access. If they can make shredder play on ios without icloud then they should be able to make this game also. If you mention in the discription that Internet access is required Ill update to three. Make it so I dont need Internet Ill update to five. Now, well Id give zero stars if I could and will not recommend the game to anyone.

Could have been great, but its not even close.

I love Khet. Its a great game. This plays, more or less, as the board game does. It doesnt look as good (it could), its not as expensive (but boy is it), and it functions (basically). Major complaints: 1) Board isnt reversible--so in standard iPad recline mode or standard iPhone "gamer" orientation (headphones up), its upside-down. Very annoying and such a simple thing to implement. 2) The iPad and iPhone apps ARE THE SAME! At least make the iPad version universal--but buying both I feel truly ripped off. Ticket to Ride nailed it--they made a brilliant conversion with tons of polish AND an iPhone game. They are different and have different features. One is for home--the other for travel. Thats how they play. But its worth it to have both at the same cost. 2) You cant play as red (second player) against the AI. 3) The manual is literally copied from the board game. Nothing else about the interface is discussed. 4) AI is very competitive and a little slow, even on the "Noob" level--the difference between the AIs is subtle and not described. 5) There should be pick-up games. Playing friends is fine--but playing strangers for ranking is where its at. For the price point, I think the feature should be included. 6) They made one of the most positively beautiful board games totally boring to look at. So the game is great. The game itself gets points. 2. But the iPhone and iPad conversions pale… *PALE* in comparison. And thats tragic. And $11 for the iPhone and iPad version when they are IDENTICAL? Highway robbery. Just buy the iPhone game and play it in 2X. Thats all this is. 2X the size, 2X the price, SAME THING. Zoom it and save your change. Get Ticket to Ride, maybe.

Best. Game.

Ive been a fan of the board game since it was new. Luuurve it. Theres nothing quite like playing with another person, but the AI is quite good. Id like to see beam splitter pieces in the future!! <3, Max
